e-Waste Forum Bogota April 2007
On April 27 of 2007, swiss EMPA and the colombian Centro Nacional de Produccion Mas Limpia (CNPMLTA) held the first colombian forum about international and national experiences on e-waste management.
The event was supported by the colombian Ministry of Environment, Treasury and Land Management (MAVDT), the colombian Chamber of Information Technologies and Telecommunications (CCIT), the Association of the Colombian Mobile Phone Industry (ASOCEL) and the National Association of Entrepreneurs (ANDI).

The purpose of this event was to gather representatives of the colombian government and members of the ICT industry and provide information about the most important aspects for e-Waste management.
The Forum aroused a lot of interests and formed a fundamental first step in the information and sensibilization process. It's main conclusions are:
- The Forum confirmed the up-to-dateness of the topic in Colombia
- The timing for getting started in Colombia is perfect
- The Forum achieved to show the waekness of the actual e-Waste management
- The Forum had a very positive feedback from it's participants
