| Abstract | Here we present data on the lifetimes of selected electronic products (PCs, hard drives, CD drives, CRTs, printers, TV sets, refrigerators, vacuum cleaners) won from empirical case studies and estimate the corresponding probability density functions. This data will later be used to model the future flows of these obsolete products in the case study region. In addition, a methodology for measuring the copper content of the examined vacuum cleaners has been developed, which can easily be applied to other devices with electrical motors. Data on the lifetimes of products, their copper content, and data on consumption of these products allows for a preliminary model of the products specific copper stock development in the case study region. The model itself is still being developed and will be presented later. |
